Still Tiling

The upstairs first bathroom is finished.  Subway tile surrounds the shower and the wall to the left where the sink will be installed.  White square tiles on the floor.

This is the second upstairs bath with a tub/shower, again with the plain white subway tile and same square floor tiles.

Above shot is the same bathroom, looking in from the doorway. You can just make out the missing floor tiles.  Tom the tile man was short 4 tiles.  We will get them in tomorrow and then, finally, finished!

Albert has the dining room window trim all finished, just awaiting a couple coats of paint.

This is the kitchen nook window trimmed out.  We painted the kitchen a very light butter color, not too yellow!

Albert has had to build a couple thresh-holds between the pantry and bath, and between the kitchen entry and kitchen.  (picture below)

Tile, Wainscot and Color

Albert has finished up the new wainscot in the parlor.

I have ordered a classic damask wallpaper to hang above the wainscot.

Here is the first coat of the dining room ceiling.

Tom is still working on the tile upstairs. Here is the old wood room, now with new white tile.

This is the second bathroom with the tub/shower.

Classic running bond subway tile for the walls and ceiling above the tub.

Tom's tile saw set up in Isabelle's room upstairs.

Window Trim, Paint, Tile

We are now re-installing the window moldings.

Albert has been able to use some of the old trim boards, and is only putting in new boards where necessary.  The above photo shows the old side piece with a new bottom sill and trim.

Here he is cleaning up and sanding the old trim pieces before installation.

Tom the tile man has been working on the downstairs bath, pantry, and entry way.  Looking into the bath from Ellen's bedroom you can see the white tile with the light green painted wallboard.  The wainscot in Ellen's room is painted auburn with a light tan ( actually called wool ) upper.

One more shot of the tile and green paint in the bathroom.

Painting

Since we are now officially in a record dry streak, exterior painting is on the agenda.  Nathan has been working on the outbuildings with the left over house paint.

Not done yet, but you can see where we are going.

Albert has been busy inside, above here priming the bathroom upstairs.

This is the downstairs bath, window trimmed out and with a fresh coat of soft green on the walls.
